Ahimsa Mai Yang |
| I'm Al-Khemeia - a female Oriental
Shorthair born 8.12.92 at Dunctonwoods Cattery. My father is Grand Champion
Radiance Fabulous Thunderbird; my mother is Dunctonwoods Givenchy.
All the mythology books were searched for a name, then the art books. Finally while perusing a chapter in a history book on the development of alchemy for the transformational properties of elements, she came across the Arabic word for alchemy - al-khemeia. Since my arrival was to be close to Halloween and I was all black the name "Al-Khemeia" was perfect! |
I'm Ahimsa - a male Cornish
Rex
born 4.29.93 at Distanstar Cattery. My father is Ridgeways Jose Cuervo of
Distanstar; my mother is Rizzorex Maidmary of Distanstar.
One morning during a Buddhist study class at Hsi Lai Temple a monk began talking about ahimsa (Sanskrit for peace) and how it was represented by water. Quickly seeing a correlation to my love of water play she exclammed, "That's it!" and that's how I came to be known as "Ahimsa". |

Almina aka Miss Piggy No Teeth |
Aryan |
I'm Almina - a female Lilac Point Siamese whose history begins at the San Diego County Shelter South. Again, the Southern California Siamese Rescue were contacted and they picked me up and took me to El Cajon, California. And in May of 2007 I was delivered to my forever home in Los Angeles.
|
I'm Aryan - a male Oriental Shorthair whose history can only be traced to the Arizona Humane Society in Phoenix, Arizona. Luckily someone contacted the Southern California Siamese Rescue and I was sent to El Cajon, California to wait for my forever family. It wasn't long because on 3.12.07 my picture made my new owner fall in love with me and come and get me!
